Yogakshemasabha Malappuram refers to the Malappuram District unit of the Yogakshema Sabha, a prominent socio-cultural organization of the Namboodiri community in Kerala. The original Yogakshemasabha, established in 1908, aimed to uplift the Namboodiri community by promoting modern education, fostering social and economic progress, and adapting to societal changes. The Malappuram district unit continues these efforts locally, engaging in various activities and community initiatives, as shown by their active presence on their Facebook page and Instagram account which feature updates on their events and activities.
Purpose and Activities
Community Welfare: The overarching goal of the Yogakshemasabha is the general betterment and welfare of the Namboodiri community.
Education and Modernization: The organization promotes modern education to help the community adapt to changing times.
Social and Economic Progress: It works towards the moral, political, and economic progress of its members.
Community Engagement: The Malappuram unit actively organizes and participates in local events, including youth activities, festivals like Onam, and state-level conferences.

District Unit: The Malappuram Jillasabha is a local representation of the larger state-level Yogakshema Sabha.
Sub-Units: The district organization includes various sub-units, such as the യുവജനസഭ (Yuvajanasabha) , which focuses on the youth & Vanithasabha which focuses on the women.
It has also units called upasabha based on areas
